For Therapists
Being an ethical professional in today’s workplace can be a challenge, but it is the most important way to have a satisfying career and prevent burnout. We consistently tell our clients to take care of themselves, but sometimes ignore our own needs, personally and professionally.
I offer professional supervision, whether to achieve your clinical licensure or for more experienced clinicians who simply want to focus on your professional objectives. I have a multitude of professional experiences and understand that the political climate of a workplace is usually more challenging than the clients, so I focus on helping you with both aspects of your employment.
I also offer consultation on a one-time or ongoing basis, to help you achieve your ambitions. Even experienced professionals can benefit from having an objective listener as a sounding board for ideas and concerns. Whether you are working within an agency or considering opening your own private practice, including those who are fee-for-service only, I provide you with the knowledge to feel confident in your choices as you plan for your future.
In addition to teaching graduate level courses on administration and supervision, I have also presented at the state level on building a successful practice:
- “Free to Soar: Social Workers in Successful Fee for Service Private Practice,” NASW State Conference, Arlington, Texas; October 6, 2016.
